I had an old account that was paid off in full. I decided to apply for service again and was told that I had been charged a termination fee from the last time. I was told that I had to pay the 150.00 to a collection agency in order for me to get the new service. I did exactly what I was told. I called to inform US Cellular that I was all clear. They then gave me the run around was told to hold on the line while they processed my order to then be told that I would then need $800 for the deposit in order to get the phone service that I ordered. I was lied to, then misled and ultimately ripped off.
I feel as if Ken was the originator of the scam and the lady that took care of me because Ken was out of the office was the closer.
A Real RIPOFF!

pay your bills!

First, pay your bills and you won't have that problem. Second, if you have that high of a deposit that you must have really lousy credit which I can understand since you stuck them for money before. Third, quit whining about the deposit. If you would only pay your bills you wouldn't have to worry about paying deposits. It's funny how people complain and then don't give the full story. Why don't you set up a prepay account since its obvious you can't be trusted with a bill
