Voicevox ripoff Houston Missouri

My friend recieved his phone bill from century tel last month and was billed for voice vox service, he never subscribed nor wanted this service. when he contacted the phone company to have this charge removed he got no satisfaction, he was told the phone company could not remove these charges??? and if not paid could result in phone disconnection. he did not pay these charges and remitted only the normal phone charge, and entered on the bill minus voice vox charge, when he recieved his bill for this month he was billed for last month and this month again. he was told by the phone company again they could not remove these charges and they would have to be paid. again he remitted only the amount of his normal phone bill and sent a letter to have these charges removed that it is fraudelent billing. he has not heard from the phone company since sending the letter.

i understand that voice vox was put out of business in denver because it is a sham but they must be operating in this state. they have been reported to the fcc but i,m unaware of what action they will take. i am still wondering how century tel could get involved in this sham, and how they would add unsubscribed charges to your bill and tell you they can,t be removed and you are responsible for paying them.
