Wholesale Marketer based in Utah (Salt Lake City I think) is an internet business ripoff. They claim to be Drop Ship wholesalers but they are not.
I joined them seeking a legit business supplier and was ripped off. For one thing they charge an annual fee of $175 for access to their products (you can't see pricing until you pay that). That should have been a red-flag, but I was green at the time.
Now that I am in business and dealing with several ACTUAL wholesalers, I can see that Wholesale Marketer's prices are really just retail. I have yet to find anything I can afford to buy from them! And I'm not talking about minor price differences that there sometimes are between wholesalers. Their prices are 10% to 20% above what I buy the same products for from REAL wholesalers.
After they get your money, they sell your phone number to partner rip-off companies who will call and try to sell you a web site.
My annual fee is about to run out and I can only say what a waste of money that was.

Federal Trade Commission wants your input

To anyone else who has had problems with Wholesale Marketer, I encourage you to file a report with the Federal Trade Commission's Consumer Protection Agency. They have assured me that the more people who file official complaints through them increase the chances for legal action to be taken by the FTC. Their website is: https://rn.ftc.gov/pls/dod/wsolcq$.startup?Z_ORG_CODE=PU01

No problems here with Wholesale Marketer

Why would this be considered a ripoff? I have been a customer of wholesale marketer for a year now and have had no problems with them or their service. The only difference is that I am smart enough to know that trying to go for high priced items like electronics and computers is a losing battle that I would never win. Only companies with investment capital in inventory would be able to compete in this market. I have also done the research in trying to understand wholesale and retail pricing, and in the end I came out thinking more mature like. I used to be like you (the original) poster, naive in my ways of thinking when it came to wholesale pricing, however I learned from my own ignorance. Instead of blasting companies like wholesale marketer who do provide a service why don't you try resolving it with them. I find they are more than willing to resolve the issues every time I have one with them. Most of my issues though are in smaller deals. As far as pricing, I am very happy with their wholesale prices when it comes to more realistic selling items. I stay away from the elctronics and computers though, thats a very dangerous market to get into if you are a small fry company or individual out of your home.

I was also ripped off and have a report dated the 18th of August. Read that one. It is detailed and i am very curious to see if you can put a rebuttal to that one that would in anyway make me or anyone else look at this whole scheme in a different light. you see, i am pretty good at deciphering BS from legitamacy and challenge you or anyone else from this organization to match wits with me here on this site in an attemp to convince me and all others that got caught up in this that their is an ounce of price competitive potential in this marketing scheme. anybody else who wishes to obtain further info needs to go to my posting on the 18th, post a rebuttal in the form of consumer comment on it and i will recieve it promply by email and will respond with an answer to your questions as promply as i can. Remember. I paid 200.00 to this and got took. Now, as a means of making sure that money was well spent, i will be glad to help any or all of you who inquire not to make the same mistake. I lost $200,yes. But by helping you not make that mistake, they may loose $200,000.00 or more if you dont dont get ripped off too. And by doing my part to help ripoffreport to help you here, well, i guess thats money well spent. We will call it a donation for the cause. Best to all.

Wholesalemarketer.com is a great company. I am one of the sales representatives with the company. When I first started and I knew nothing about the company, I was very skeptical about what I was offering. I have now had the opportunity to help many other people including myself make money from selling online.
There are many factors to consider when choosing a wholesaler. First, we all know that they have to make their money somewhere. The best part about what we do is we charge a low yearly or monthly membership to have access to all of our services. This way you know exactly what your bottom line is. There are no hidden fees. We also make no money from the products you sell. If you are signing up with a free company, make sure that there are no minimum order requirements, no quantity requirements, and/or no minimum monthly order requirements. Also make sure that the company is not marking up the products they sell to you. When they do this they are stealing your profit potential. I would rather pay upfront, than have my profit potential cut out from under me.
Second, are the products from the company you are choosing all brand new? Our products are all new and come with a manufacturer warranty. We also ship them out with full shipping insurance. We are not like some other companies that have their own little knick-knack line. Our products are all name brand products.
Third, all of the LEGITIMATE complaints against our company have been resolved with both parties coming out happy. We are the ONLY eBay Certified drop shipper in the world. eBay puts a lot of trust in us to do what we say we will do and we have to meet all of eBay's high service and support standards. (goto... http://developer.ebay.com/certifiedprovider/ ...to see what we had to do as a company to achieve this accolade. If hte best and biggest and probably most competitive auction site in the world says that we are who we say we are and that we do what we say we do, then who is anyone to argue with that.
Finally...
Everytime a good thing comes around, there will always be someone to dispute it or to disagree with it. In the history of the world, every good thing that has ever happened, or been invented has been scrutinized in some way or another. Think of Ben Franklin and how he was scrutinized about his research on the lightbulb.
If someone is going to only believe the few negative things said about any company without checking it out for themselves, you may as well believe what the naysayers back in Ben Franklin's day said about him and the lightbulb. Let's think about this...If someone is looking for something worng, they will find it. If someone is truly trying to succeed, then there is a VERY good chance that they will with whatever they do.
Thanks for your time...
