I filed a claim on 8 June 2020 after my split system heat pump  stopped working.  Cinch Home Services sent an HVAC technician and the technician determined that the evaporator coils in the air-handler were leaking and stated he would recommend the entire system be replaced.

The HVAC service company told me that the entire system must be replaced because state codes (AHRI) cannot be met by replacing only the evaporator coils but Cinch Home Services states the contract only requires them to replace the part that failed leaving me to pay the difference.

It has been almost three weeks and I still don't have anything in writing stating what Cinch Home Services has agreed to pay.  During phone conversation with Cinch Home Services representatives, I've been given a dollar amount of approximately 7% of what the HVAC service company says it would take to repalce the entire system and approximately 42% of what it would cost to replace just the evaporator coils providing OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) coils for the 22 year old system could be located.

On top of this, the HVAC company tells me that the Air Handler Closet wasn't built to code either and there will be additional costs to bring it up to code.  According to the HVAC service company, Cinch Home Services will not cover those repairs either.

Today is one day short of three weeks and we still don't have air conditioning or even any details of what Cinch Home Services has agreed to pay.

Cinch Home services may attempt to claim that I was late paying my bill to renew my contract this year but I was late because I insisted on receiving a bill after Cinch charged my credit card twice the last two years and the bill never arrived.
