IHG Charged twice for stay Houston Texas

 Stayed at this Holiday Inn Express located at 6978 Windwater Parkway, Houston, TX 77036. Client booked the stay on Expedia in advance. When checking in, Alba at the front desk said that it was canceled. I ended up having to pay for the whole stay plus one day. Yet, they still received the funds for the Expedia cancellation. Attempts to reach management at the hotel were unsuccessful. Reached out to IHG and after two months, admitted their mistake and said they would refund the amount which they never did and it's 6 months later. I keep sending reminder that they said they would refund without success. Just another reason why I won't be staying at another IHG hotel again. They then closed my account that i had had for over 10 years.
