I had an old runescape account that i have not played for years, and it was wrongly banned for botting.
This is an account I had stopped playing on, and I do not recognize the date of the offense listed. Furthermore, I do not bot. There is no reason to for me. 
I have filed an appeal but this is a permanent ban. You can imagine my surprise when I came back 5 to 7 years later to try to log into it, and it was perma banned, with the only "offense" being something I did not do or could not have done. I suspect the account might have been hacked, but this does not make it acceptable to ban a long time customer. They should be helping me as a victim of hacking in this case.

While I am hoping this ban is properly appealed, the account has a lot of discontinued items, not to mention countless hours played and years of membership paid on it for all the years I played.

It seems I am not the only one with this problem. And Jagex has a habit according to other players of banning people for botting who are not botting, but just sink large numbers of hours into the game and call them bots, with no evidence. And when you click on "show me the evidence" they say "we cannot show it to you because it could compromise our detection methods."

Prove I was botting. Not that the account had someone else botting, but that I the player did it, as the ToS applies to the PLAYER. If the account had been hacked, you are to be on the player's side in setting things right.

I believe it would be wise for media coverage to be placed on this company for what they are doing, because by doing that, they are ripping off their player base.

Solution? Give me my account back. I have already changed the password.

And if the account was flagged by the player in the appeal as possibly compromised, you owe us help.
