I hired what I thought was a moving comany out of Florida and paid $4,000 when it turned out they were a broker company but I was not told. They sent me to Master Movers in Richomond Va where once more I paid over $4,ooo and they also kept adding on to the charges. I was assured by the men picking up my belonging my things were insured plus the would be well cared for and get to Tx.

within just a few days 7 day max. It took them 10 hrs to load my things when they said it would be 4 hrs . They did not wrap anything. They ripped the back of my sofa off to get it to separate and take it out of my house when I told them there was a lever under it. When the could not get everything in my house they wanted to come back and charge me more by that time I already had almost 6,000 in the move with them.





Cash and check and debit card.The truck was half full and they said I had went over my 7000 sq feet already and had went to 9000 by then. So they could come back and get more for prob 2000 more I said no. I could not afford it. I left and got to Tx on Aug the 4th 2019 and I had no furniture but was ok with that that as they had just picked it up on the 3rd.

But a week later still no furniture so I called and called and every week was told it was on the way but I had to pay more money. And when the furniture got here I had to pay 3000 more. Then the week it was supposed to get here I had to pay 2000 more and then when the truck gotr here pay 1000 cash to the movers . To say I was upset put it mildy but I did it because they had all my food,clothing and belongings.





It took them 27 days to get my belongings to me. And I was missing 8 boxs and 6 tubs. My furniture was ruins ,my tv was damaged . My 3000K frig/freezer was runind byt taped that took paint off and ecratchs and dents and the inside was moldy when it left my house it was cleand,iy even had  mc donalds ketsup and mustard packs inside and open...my new bed was damaged so bad with scrapes and they even drilled holes on top of the dresset and screwed in the top of the mirror ,the mattress had got wet also and was stained.. ,the little computer desk had been taped up and when the tape came off so did the finish,the antique rocker was all scratched up.

I was missing a box os crystal from Ireland that my grand parents brought when the immagrated, and dishs.  My boxs had been opened and things removed and paper had been stuffed in to the boxs that did arrive and tapped back up. Some things that were taken were blue ray  payer recorder,dvd player/recorder,1 computer, kitchen aide mixer new,toaster,bunn coffee maker,ninja super pro kitch blenDer Q.. CLOTHING, plus dvd's and much more...

It took me time to go threw everything because even though I took no pictures of inside of boxs i numbered myself each box and wrote down what was in each box for my records. So all total I paid the 2 movers over 11K  to move me 1335 MILES from my old home in Va toTX and lost over 3 k in belongins and had about 5k in furniture damages and the manager in Va then informed me I had no insurance on my damages or lost items.

So I still filed a claim and was told but the main office in In. that they would file a claim ..I would get .60 cent per pound( I don't know for what) but they got $250.00 off the top. I asked why they got 250 for what thier men did ..was told they were not a insurance company  and that's what they charge. I still don't know for what.

They did send me a form to fill out but I have not sent it back because if all I'm going to get back for everything is 3-4 hundred and they get 250 why should I give them that money ..I paid enough to that company for crappy service,that was so bad I could have got a u-haul for much less and much cheap if I had know. I had just lost my husband and had never used a mover before and did not have anyone to help me do this and help me understand so trusted these 2 companies..what a scam.

The company in Fl. charged me for insurance so I went back to see what the insurance was for after this happen and somehow my emails from them each had case closed on them And no info on what I paid or what anything was for..and I have no idea how they managed to do that. I thought once you got a email it stayed in your computer but mine got erased with just basic info.
