Select Home Warranty Does not honor contracts Mahwah New Jersey

I signed up with Select Home Warranty in October 2024 based on consumer advocate reviews. On or about 12/20/24, I filed a claim to address a leaking faucet in my guest bathroom. The claim was denied because it was not in the contract but I could add faucets etc for an additional $249 but would still have to wait for repair- faucet won’t not turn off, water was constantly running in sink. Paid $350 out of pocket with a plumber to repair faucet. Approximately a week a later filed a claim for a slow/clogged deep sink. Claim denied because sink was not in the "living area” of my home. The contract indicated coverage for plumbing stoppages- location of stoppage in home was not specified. Customs service did not want to cancel contract- I had to repeatedly refuse their upsell. Finally agreed to cancel and charged me $75 to cancel.
