This report is about an unauthorized debit from my bank account by State Farm Insurance, specifically Tammy Deane agency at 48836 Romeo Plank Rd. Macomb, Michigan. In September, I was quoted $148 a month premium, which included a renter's policy. In December with no balance due, I agreed to go on auto pay. Within 3 weeks, State Farm took over $500 from my account. The agent, Tammy Deane, and her employees have made multiple invalid claims for this. Ultimately, they claimed it was an error by the underwriting department. That the funds would be credited back to my account within 5 days. As of today February 16th this has still not been done.

The agency now claims it is due to underwriting not receiving proof of medical coverage and increasing the premium. I explained to agent Tammy Deane, that I had sent proof of medical coverage at least three different times. The first on October 16th by way of email. I was unable to locate the date of the second time, the third was on December 17th when auto pay was set up. I have made five monthly payments. I have had at least ten contacts by email and many more by phone during the period of time from Sept. 11- Jan. 13, the date the debit was made. Never in any of those contacts did anyone say my premium was going up. In fact, the day auto pay was set up I was told my premium would be going down. Today, Feb. 13, I received a monthly bill saying my premium of $336.00 was three days past due and payment was required to prevent cancellation. My premium is $148.00 and they have $500. of my money. I don't get it.

I am an elderly widow living on a small monthly Social Security benefit in the middle of a pandemic and now the agent and agency has stopped taking my calls.
