SUBCO REWARD BEE Free Subscription to Martha Stewart Living
I do not subscribe to any magazines.
Last week I received both the November and December issues of Martha Stewart Living. Reading the label, the subscription runs through January 2023.
I called the magazine subscription number and they cancelled the subscription. I asked who ordered it and was told it was ordered through a third party, SUBCO. They did not have any billing info. They gave me a number to call SUBCO.
I called SUBCO and was on hold for quite some time. They said they could see the subscription was already cancelled. I asked who ordered the subscription. They didn't know; said it came from REWARD BEE and I'd have to call them.
I called REWARD BEE and they kept me on hold for some time too. They said it was a reward for some survey or game I played online, but they could not tell me where the subscription originated.
Reading other posts, I can see this would become a problem for many. It appears to be a free subscription, but it will automatically renew and billed to me. This is definitely a scam. Everyone likees "free stuff", but this could quietly become a debt owed. I consider this fraud since it is done without a written notice to the recipient.
