Richard Pierce contacted our office and sold us on the exclusive "hot leads" his company would send us. He told me these leads were in fact actual customers of theirs that were currently getting refinanced and had requested a home owners insurance quote. He guaranteed me that these clients would be ready for quotes and that I'd receive their information necessary to proceed.

I sent them a check and then waited for over 2 weeks before receiving the first batch. Of the seven leads I received, 5 of them had wrong phone numbers and no information on their homes. I spoke with the other 2 which said they had no idea who 1st Century was, never requested a home quote and didn't know how they came to have their information.

I immediately sent an email demanding an explanation with no reply. The next day I left a voice message on their machine asking for Richard Pierce to return my call and explain the bogus leads. No reply. Finally I reached Tamara Duncan that gave me some line about their computer having a virus which resulted in these obscure leads. She promised to have her staff fix the situation and that she would get back to me that same afternoon.. no reply. I left her a voice message stating I would contact the district attorney and better business bureau if they did not immediately refund me. I plan on doing this next week. I never heard back from their slick salesman Richard Pierce who completely lied to me.
