http://www.learn2serve.com/nevada-alcohol-server-certification

Advertising an alcohol awareness course for Nevada. They also have paid ads on Google that say "Nevada approved".

Their course is 50% less than what the other NV companies charge and it allows you to take your final exam online and print your certificate card from your computer. Guess what. Online testing and printing your own certificates is ILLEGAL in Nevada. The state of NV has revoked this company's course approval and has informed the local police, who do inspections for alcohol training certificates, that these certificates are worthless and not valid.

So unsuspecting employees like myself who are required to do alcohol training pay $16 for NOTHING. We get to work and the boss tells us go home you can't work because your alcohol training course is not licensed by the state.

I can't beleive that a company can so openly defaud people. When I called their customer service # they actually acknowledged that the course is not valid in Nevada BUT told me it's up to the consumer to know what the requirements are for employment and the consumer should then know that the course is invalid. Really? What a rip off.

BTW: If you do alcohol training in Nevada you are required to take an in-person written test physically in Nevada with a licensed company and the certificate card must be made of plastic.

I've also filed complaints with the BBB and TX AG's office. I called my bank to reverse the charge on my credit card.

AUTHOR: 360training - ()

POSTED: Wednesday, October 15, 2014

360training would like to file a rebuttal in response to complaint #1181240 submitted on October 6, 2014.

360training is approved as an Alcohol Awareness Training School by the Nevada Commission of Postsecondary Education, as shown in the following link, http://www.cpe.state.nv.us/.   From the menu bar, choose ‘Info for Students’ and then ‘Approved Alcohol Awareness Training Schools’ to view the list of approved providers.

360training meets the following requirements pertaining to program cost and online programs, as outlined in NRS 369.625 and NAC 394.730. These regulations stipulate that an alcohol beverage awareness program may cost no more than $40 to complete (NRS 369.635-4(a)). 360training charges a promotional price of $16.96 for our program. This program has a retail value of $25.00. The program may also be presented through the use of audiovisual technology which includes the use of computers, the internet, or any other electronic means of communication, or any combination, thereof (NRS.369.625-4(b)).

360training also meets the following proctor requirement, as outlined in NAC 394.715. The provider of the program must provide a comprehensive closed-book final examination that contains questions on the subject matter. The final examination must be proctored by the provider of the program or otherwise proctored by a person or entity approved by the Administrator. The proctor must complete and provide to the school a certification form (Affidavit) for each examination administered by the proctor.

In accordance with NAC 394.730, upon the successfully completion of the Nevada Alcohol Awareness Training Program and submission of the proctor form, 360training will issue a plastic alcohol education card within seven business days to each person which includes the following information:

  • The name of the person to whom the card is issued
  • The name of the provider of the program, a unique identification number
  • The date of issuance
  • The date of expiration.

We kindly request the removal of complaint #1181240, as the information reported is inaccurate.  If any additional information is needed, please contact me at accreditation@360training.com.

Sincerely,

Krista Fredrick - Product Manager
