86th Street & Photo advertises very low prices on the internet. Prices as its been often said, "too good to be true". Don't fall for this companies internet scam. Before you fall victim of this unscrupulous seller, buy from a reputable business. I ordered a electronic item that was advertised at a very low price.

Unfortunately, this company came up on an amazon.com comparison price listing. Appearing to be a legitimate business, claiming that all orders are shipped within two days of online order. I succumbed to the too good to be true price.

After days of placing my order, a email was received from 86th Street Video, requesting to contact them by telephone for order verification. This is not what they are seeking. I contacted them via telephone and was immediately hustled to buy "accessories" for the electronic item.

A "special" sale price was offered. After repeatedly declining the offer for additonal accessories, the scammercontinued to lower the prices for a "today only special". After a final decline of the offer, I was told that my order was now being processed.

Almost instantaneously after hanging up with customer service. A email from 86th St. Video was received claiming that they just discovered that the item ordered is now on "back order" and would take 4 to 5 weeks for shipment. Several attempts were made to call customer service.

The first question they ask is your order number. Very rudely they hung up on me and or placed me on hold for long periods of time. Save yourself the hassle and run as fast as you can from this business. Its nothing but misleading low price scams that they will try to sell you higher priced extras.

The claim of shipping within two days of order is completely false advertising. Buyer beware! Don't find out the hard way. They should be investigated for consumer fraud.
