My cousin, who at the time lived with me, & I were trying to find a way to get started in an internet based business. On January 10, 2007, she was contacted by Startup Essentials and then I was conference called to be part of the process. When I was told I had to agree to the call and sign that day I told them I wasn't interested. I then hung up nad went about my daily routine. About 3 minutes later I was again conference called by the same person stating that I HAD to stay on the phone. I Politely informed them that I was busy and could not take the call & hung up again. The third call came within seconds after hanging up. This time my cousin begged me not to hang up. I stayed on the line and listened to the whole sales pitch. When the money angle came around I told them I couldn't afford it and wanted no part of their company & hung up again.

About 5 hours later I got a call from my cousin saying she wanted to know where my Bank was. When I asked why she was trying to make up a story I didn't believe. I told her no information about my bank. When I finally returned home that night, I went to my bedroom and couldn't find my check book. I asked my cousin if she had seen it and she said no. Later that night my checkbook mysteriouly appeared on my empty bed??? I again ask her where it came from and she told me about the followup phone calls from Startup Essentials. She had agreed to their terms and was starting a business through them.

In 4 days this cheap, slow, $400.00 Acer laptop arrived with a looseleaf folder contaning all the paperwork for starting our business. There were some CD's in the back of the folder relating to the program. I called the number on the paperwork and asked how to return it as it came in my name. I was informed I couldn't return it as I had "signed" a non-cancellable contract. When I asked them where this contract was I was told it had been done over the phone.

It is now June 29, 2007 and I am still trying to get rid of these people. I have had a payment of $136.24 taken out of my account every month since February 2, 2007. I have tried to get them to stop taking money from me that I did not authorize but have had no luck.

I finally had to go to the Bank and close my account. I have filed complaints against Startup Essentials & A-1 Leasing and still can't get that done. I have even contacted the BBB in both Michigan & Texas and they say they can't help me. How do I cancel a contract I never signed or even received a copy of? I am on a fixed income and have had been charged 4 times for overdrawing on my account. Each time was because "Bond Corp", A-1 Leasing's name they use to take my money tried to get money that I didn't have.

I need help and I have run out of placesto turn to. I want to file suit against both companies but have no money for that. Does anyone know of a Class Action Suit that I can sign? I have not received any threatening letters about my account yet as it's only been 4 days since I changed my Bank account.
