Please be careful in even THINKING of working with A Solid Gold Sound. I have a moderatly successful DJ business, meaning, i'm not hurting for work at all. I got a call a few weeks back from John, asking me to do a show for him and his company. I told him upfront, i will not work for his company unless i was paid upfront in full by him, before the event date. I explained to him that his company has the worst reputation out there. He said he understood where i was coming from and that it would not be a problem on the pay issue. So when he told me where it was, i declined, telling him it was just too far for me to travel.

That is where the trouble began, not 3 days after i declined his offer, and told him what i had thought and read of his company, his company start to cost me money by advertising. Let me explain, we pay google to have our ads on google and only get charged when someone clicks on them, well over the last couple days we've gotten over 300 clicks, all from 2 places, both are in NY, where one of their offices are located. Not to mention i traced the IP address that were doing the clicking and it goes to one of their offices. So here, because I told him no thanks, He's trying to cost me a ton of money. How petty is that? That's ok, i've contacted my lawyer and i am in the process of logging all the IP addresses that do this, for the log for when i take them to court for harrassment. And John, if you dont think that is harrassment, think again, ask your lawyer buddy boy.

Anyway, to all DJ"s out there, A Solid Gold sound has a rep of not paying it's DJ's, Now it's going out of it's way to cost those DJ's that dont want to work for them money. I hope they get what's coming to them.

#1 UPDATE EX-employee responds

John? Did you mean John Kruer? The guy that "sold" the company last year?

AUTHOR: The Mobile Dj - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, May 29, 2009

Well that's interesting. Solid Gold hasn't paid me for my gigs from last AUGUST and SEPTEMBER because they "sold" the company and are no longer responsible for John's debts.

But now John, who is "no longer" with the company is calling and trying to find DJs. John needs to pay me my money as well as the 10-12 other DJs that have called me to commiserate because he owes them up to $2,000 from last year.
