I bought a new dell pc from aarons about 4 years ago. it was priced at $1,400 dollars. i had to refinance 3 times instead of my financing starting at the the price i had paid down to, it started at the bigining price each time.

I got tired of paying for and went two weeks without paying, before i knew it they had me arrested for stolen merchandise. And then took me to court just to drop the case and give me the stuff i had been paying for, for almost three years.

Also a friend of mine bought a used pc, priced as new from them.

It was supposed to have 256mb of memory in it, but we came to find out that aarons had pulled the 256mb chip and replaced it with a 128mb chip. they are crooked and dishonest. I hope nobody ever goes there.

Dell partners with Aaron's

AUTHOR: Ben - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, June 06, 2007

About the poor credit issue. Rent to own is not just for those with poor credit. I have done business with Aaron's and I absolutely love the customer service that I have gotten from them. Aaron's and Dell have a great program in place for those who do not qualify for their credit card. They simply have all the information sent to Aaron's, they then call the closest store to the consumer and have them set up the account with Aaron's. Everything is disclosed up front as far as the pricing, what comes with the computer. All of that with the Dell tech on the line (basically a 3 way call). It is a very helpfull tool for those with not so great credit.

Ummm..Dell?

AUTHOR: Mike - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, March 23, 2007

In answer to your question, at any given moment Dell offers a basic computer for around $399-$499. These usually include DVD ROM/CD Burners as they are very inexpensive. The problem is that people who use Rent a Centers have poor credit and therefore cannot buy something online since they don't have credit cards.

So since they absolutely NEED a computer, they get themselves into contracts like this where they pay $1000 more. Oh and my last Dell I bought cost me $799 (including a 25% off coupon online) and I had upgraded every option to the max limit. So yes, you CAN get a $400-$500 computer

Why?

AUTHOR: Cory - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, August 31, 2006

WHY anyone would "rent" a computer from one of these places is beyond me. You can get into a basic new computer for around $400 or less. Oh, I know, you can't come up with $400 but you can come up with the $42 or whatever it is, a week. That way you end up paying $1,400 for a $400 computer. But as the OP says, stay away from these places.
