AARON'S SALES AND LEASE KEPT MY MONEY HOUMA Louisiana

Well, my husband and I went to Aaron's to rent to own a laptop. we found one that was used so we decide to try and get it. We put down the first months rent of about $111. You have to have 3 referces. Well all but one was not going to give us one. Some girl from Aarons called me and told me i needed another refernce or I would have to bring back the laptop. So I bought back the laptop.

My mom was going to buy us one for alot less than what they were wanting. It was about $2000 for a used laptop, when she was going to pay $600 for a brand new one, and we would pay her back. The guy told me he would talk to the accountant to see how much of a refund I would get back. I waited a week and called to see about my money. He told me I could not have my money back because we took the laptop out of the store. I told my mom about what he said and she went up to the store with a recorder and recorded the whole conversation with the guy.

Basicly he told my mom the only reason we were able to leave with the computer before the application was check was because he knows my husbands mom. So we were not going to get any money back. My mom asked the guy if they tell there customers about if they decide to bring back there stuff early they won't get a refund of the remaning money they paid for the month. He said "We don't see the need to". He also said I could go get the laptop for a month or use it for store credit. I sure don't want or need a laptop now nor do I want to ever buy, rent or lease anything from that company. It's nice to know I wasted $111.
