Action Appliance Inc. Liar and inept technician Aurora, Colorado

First of all the company claims they will be at your house during a specific time frame and the technician would call 30 minutes prior to arriving.  The technician never called and was 45 minutes later than the last time frame he was supposed to arrive.
When he did arrive he tood the cover off of my air conditioner and tried to change out the freon.  He said that was not the problem.  He then said he needed to go to his truck for another part.  I watched him as he was at his truck.  He kept searching through boxes and then was looking at a book.  He came back after about 20 minutes of searching and tried another cannister of something.  My disconnect kept popping out of the unit and he finally just said it was my compressor and the entire unit needed to be replaced due to the fact that if you just replaced the compressor all of the other parts would be useless very shortly and it wouldn't work right.  He said it would cost about 3,000.00 to replace. 
After this news he replaced the cover on the air conditioner and left with my disconnect (which I didn't realize until after he left.)  I was so upset and I thought I really needed a second opinion.  My friend who works on commercial air conditioners came over and took a look and he had it up and running within a half hour as all it was was my capacitor and charged me $60.00.
I called and requested they refund my trip charge and got no response.
