ADT isn't into security. ripoffs ..incompetent *REBUTTAL

Well you all need to understand that there are many factors to a corporation of this size (ENRON) it does not care about who they buy or put out of Business. I was an employee of Master Protection Corp. d.b.a. FireMaster that over a 5yr. period TYCO took over and made go bankrupt and then they bought the company for the debt they owed and they own or companys in the U.S.A. and around the world they even make and sell the equipment used by these companys owned by tyco. ADT,Grinnell,Simplex,FireMaster,AMP,AMP NETCONNECT,PROCTOR,CASH VALVE,SCOOT AVIATION,SONITROL,TAMS,KAP,JMI,SCE,FARO,CAPS,ANSUL,L&M,KTM,YARWAY,PYRO-CHEM,SCOTT INSTRUMENTS,SEPCI, CONSULTANTS,SENSOMATIC,TYCO PLASTIC,U.S. SURGICAL,TYCO TELECOM.,HTS,EMP, OEG,A&E PRODUCTS,ZETTLER,& many other companys. There was about 5+ people that quit the company when we say fraud and other activaties going on within SimplexGrinnell. Fight for you rights and your right to be heard companys like this need to be stopped.

Know wonder the alarm industry is suffering problems. You Tyco boy really will do anything.
Of course you don't monitor the White House, CIA, FBI, Fort Knox, Smithsonian Institute, Every Dept of...! The United State Government does not trust such national treasures and securities to someone who can't even dispatch a home alarm. You may have supplied or installed equipment through your GSA sales division..but that's it. Ask any alarm company for their list of ADT customers that have suffered losses and changed service to a real security company or ask your local police departments about ADT.
Further, the reason they are the largest is they have leached off the security alarm industry credibility without adhering to the industry standards or ethics that the puplic expects from security professionals and pumped millions of dollars into hollywood type ads and free alarm systems in exhange for a committment (requardless of their level of performance) and yard signs to anyone who will allow them. It is all a hugh corporate numbers game. Something that has never and will never be compatible to a protection service.

There are lawsuites that I see in periodicals and newspapers but most who have claims are either intimitdated by their full time legal department or settle out of court with non-diclosure contracts that would frighten the President. Only one's that can stand up to them now are the purchasing puplic that fuel this or the United States Government.

With Tyco Fire & Security's (mother corporation)CEO's problems we are seeing in the news we may be witnessing redemtion at last.

Yes ADT monitors parts of the White House, the CIA, the FBI, Fort Knox, the Federal Courts, the Smithsonian Institute, and most every government building but that is were ADT makes all there money is big CORE accounts and not the small business or home owner.

I mean look at the numbers what it cost 100.00 bucks for a basic install in a house well the system cost them like 200.00 dollars and they have to pay for the gas in the truck to get there and the tech gets 75.00 of the 100.00.

Sure they get a contract for 3 yr in most cases witch is 792.00 dollars and still have to pay the all the people teat set behind computers and load the account data and monitor the systems. (witch is not that good to start with I cant count how many times I have set off a system not on test and did not get a call, then would have to make up something to tell the customer why).

As for the installers damaging a house it is not uncommon to see that the reason is that the install that have had no experience normally get about 3 weeks training. Also most get payed on a commission base so the faster they get done the more money they make. Dont get me wrong sometimes you gust cant help it and there are some good techs that work for ADT but most of them work in CORE go figure.

The only reason they are so big now is that they have bought up a lot of other security companies like SecurityLink, Smith, Eddison, BTS and from what I herd before I left sone to be Protection 1 and some others too.

Guess who monitors parts of the White House, the CIA, the FBI, Fort Knox, the Federal Courts, the Smithsonian Institute, and every Dept. of .... that you can think of?

That's right, ADT.

There's a reason why ADT does over 75,000 installations per month: They are the very best in the industry.

Just because some installer messes up and the homeowner can't understand how to cancel a contract does not make ADT any less than a great company.

I AM A FORMER ADT AUTHORISED DEALER. I CAN ASSURE YOU ADT IS TOO STUPID TO TRY TO STEAL FROM YOU ON PURPOSE.

ADT is like a giant redwood, it has grown too large to see its own roots. ADT assumes that you are too stupid to try to break your contract.

Get your contract out and follow the cancellation procedures to the letter.

As a lsat resort follow this and 99% of the time you will be able to get out of the contract.

1. Call ADT and request service.Get the name and station # of the person who took your request. (document)

2. If service is not provided within 48 hours, request service by certified mail return reciept requested.

3If Adt does not respond to your certified request within 14 days, send another certified letter stating that you are cancelling your contract with ADT because ADT is in breach of contract because lack of service.

4. In your letter state I CONSIDER THIS CONTRACT CANCELLED AND THIS MATTER CLOSED. IF I RECEIVE A BILL,A CALL OR ANY NEGATIVE INFORMATION REPORTED TO ANY CREDIT BUREAU, I WILL CONSIDER IT HARRASMENT AND WILL TAKE LEGAL ACTION AGAINST ADT.

They must be doing something right, they are the number one security company in the world. They do produce 14 billion in revenue every year. And you don't seem to be to worried about breaking your contract since you waited a month to call back when you were told 48 hours. Now, tell us the whole story will you!
