Advance Cash Services ACS Email Harassment Internet

Today, May 20, 2014, I received the following email from ACS:

"The case will be downloaded on Monday (May 26th 2014) and you will be soon served with the court papers due to non-payment after so many reminders. If you want to avoid these legal consequences we merely require you to get back to us with the payment, you can e-mail us back for further details."

First of all, I never took out a cash advance as I am presently unemployed. Secondly, Monday is a holiday. Any real attorney would know that.

This is obviously a scam. This is the second time I received this type of scam. When I was employed, I did use a cash advance company. They obviously sold my information including my checking information and now I am receiving scams like this one.

The first scammer went into my checking account and took out +/- $50 saying I took out an advance in this amount. First of all, if I were to take out a cash advance, it would be for more than $50 (the fees would be half the amount I took). I don't think anyone would use a cash advance service for $50. Luckily, my bank refunded the amount taken and gave me a new account number.
