Received a email today from the anderson law group. The person whom sent the email is Lisa Anderson. She claims that I have ignored several phone calls regarding a cash advance advance from a company called Advance Cash Services. I have never heard of this company nor have I applied for a loan of any kind from them. In the email she claims that I owe $972.00 which could cost me $3560.00 in fees if I don't respond in 72 hours. There is no contact information in the email. This is the first time I have heard from this person regarding this company. In the letter she is threatening to contact my employer. I don't know who this lady is nor do I know about this company.

#1 Consumer Suggestion
fight them ,,,,,,,,file a complaint against them

First off I am not an attorney. I suggest that you file a complaint with your state attorney general consumer protection division. Forget the BBB. They are worthless.
you need to research this firm and get an address. What they want is banking information. They don't want you mailing payments. They want to keep you in the blind. In some cases its fraud or a scam.
file a complaint also with the Consumer financial protection bureau. This is a U.S. Government agency. By filing a complaint you will help yourself and others. You can also file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission. What ever you do be proactive rather then reactive. Check your credit reports. Periodically check the clerk of courts in your area for suits against you. Sometimes they do sewer service. Which is where they serve an old address so they can say they served you and get a default judgment against you.
If they are calling you. Record the conversation. Never give banking information or verify your social security no.
Good luck to you
