AIG Insurance Fraudulent Billing consumer fraud ripoff Pasadena California

STOP!! Do not use AIG auto insurance!! I was quoted a certain amount for auto liability coverage by a broker, and I paid that amount. A week or so later I get a notice from AIG that the policy was "issued for a higher premium than was quoted" and they wanted the difference to continue coverage. My broker said that was because AIG keeps telling them they haven't gotten the "proof of experience letters" that my broker has faxed over and over to them, so AIG assumes I've had no coverage and are raising the price.

Broker kept refaxing the info. and they kept denying getting it. After 3 weeks of this, I cancelled and got another insurance. Well guess what....2 months later I get a "pay or go to collections" letter from AIG. The 1-800 number is a joke, the clerks are rude and the bottom line is they want this extra money in their pockets. My brokers says they've had numerous problems with AIG changing the policy after it's sent to them thereby raising the premium.

I think they should be investigated and hung out to dry.
