HA! AllianceOne.. Where do I begin.. Okay so i owed 150 to the court for a ticket of some sort.. fine.. didn't pay it.. whatever.. fines went up.. got it.. DMV sends letter stating that on such and such date at such and such time my driving "privilege" will be suspended due to non payment.. So I call and check balance and inform them that I will pay when i get paid..

So i get paid and go online to pay the amount stated in previous call, enter account number online and pin code, enter credit card info.. submit payment.. ERROR sql error on page error in web code causing amount to not show properly in form there fore making amount owed less than 10$ WTF? Call back next day to make payment over phone, payment clears..

So i paid the fine BEFORE said date of suspension to AllianceOne.. AllianceOne waits an entire 6 days to report to DMV that fines were paid in full and to not suspend license.. Well that doesn't happen. Get pulled over for owning an Acura Integra, come to find out that my license was suspended! Here we go! Get notice for court date for driving while suspended.. Call up AllianceOne and explain situation to Milena Spencer. Her response.. you should have paid sooner.. refuses to send proof of payment to court to wash out dws charge..

Hire attorney.. Charge reduced to DWVOL charged additional 200.00 to court.. goes to AllianceOne.. Same deal happens AGAIN. back to Square One. Once the court has you in their crosshair, you never leave their system. Your become their Customer.. Your ability to drive legally in the state of WA is at their mercy. This whole system is flawed. Screw AllianceOne. and Screw WA State for using them.

What kind of lawyer was this?

AUTHOR: voiceofreason - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, March 13, 2012

Sounds like your lawyer was a jerkwad. Clearly, if all you stated is true, you paid within the allotted time frame. How could a bona fide lawyer not get you off? Was there any disclaimer on the pay site warning that a lag time of x number of days applied to all online, or certain types of payments?

Was this lawyer one of those ambulance chasers who hang out in traffic courts looking for on the spot business?
Most DMV offense attorneys are good ole boy pals with the ADAs and judges who try their cases. Their  usual mode of operation is to simply get a ticket knocked down to a lesser offense. Did you make it clear to the lawyer you expected to be let off completely, and provided him/her with all documentation proving your on time payment, and were you present at the hearing? If not, he'd probably do his usual knock down shtick without even touching on evidence.

Seems like something is missing

AUTHOR: Robert - (U.S.A.)

Based on your Report you finally paid your fine on-line and by phone. This would mean you used some sort of Debit/Credit card or did an E-Check(ACH Transaction).  So your bank statement(s) would show proof of your payments as well as when they were made.  If this is the case how come your attorney didn't use those statements to show that the payment was made before the suspension date?  How come your attorney didn't request that the courts order the company to provide proof of when the payments were made?  Or did your attorney try both of those things and it was because the courts have a vendetta against you that they ignored all of your evidence anyways?

Of course the "you should have paid earlier" is also a very valid comment.  The way you started off you seem to think that Unpaid Fines, Court Orders, and notices of suspension don't mean anything and you can take care of them on your schedule.  As you found out, that may not be the best attitude.  You have to realize that driving is considered a privilege.  Where if you keep the same attitude..yes they may have you in their "crosshairs" for quite a while.
