Allstate Insurance Co. granted me a preferred customer discount because I allowed them to debit my checking account for payment. On or about February 9, Allstate debited my
account for the full payment for 2 cars car insurance, $1061.22. I also received a notic at I do not understand. I called my agent's office, Mr. Burlinski, and arranged to pay my bill on line with his office's assurances that I would be able to retain the discount. Having paid twice, Allstate sent me a check for $1,061.22, and that should have ended this matter.

But Allstate persisted in billing me for an additional sum because they claimed they did not
have a correct email address for me (nevermind that they had proven that they had access to debit my checking account). I told them I objected to them trying to bill me more for insurance, when a contract was already formed once they accepted my payment for the original price quoted. Despite my objections, they then used the very facility that I would not have given them but for the discount they gave, to debit my bank account for the additional sum of $171.48.  This was an unauthorized debit at a time that they knew that without the discount, I did not consent to the debit.  Selling one of the insured cars, and fed up, on June 7, I contacted my agent Burlinski and was told by email that I would receive a refund of $410 if I cancelled my policies the next day.

The next day, JUNE 8, I informed both the Allstate customer service line (as my agent's office instructed) and my agent's office to cancel my insurance policies, and demand the 2 months remaining balance for the auto insurance policies. I have called, emailed both the
customer service line and my former agent's office too many times to recount in the two months and have been told repeatedly that I will get my refund, but I have not received ANY refund. Allstate obviously has set up its systems to cheat its customers, renege on policy discounts, abuse bank account debit authority, take customers' money without permission, and then never refund balances owing. I'm truly disgusted by the hypocrisy of this company and its agents, particularly given its incessant advertising that you are are in good hands with Allstate. So, it is quite simple: I am entitled to 2 months of 6 months refund on the original policy at the discounted price, that is, one-third of $1,061.22 ($353.74), plus the $171.48
illegally debited from my bank account, so a total of $525.22.
