AMERACO, INC. DON'T BE MISLEAD BY THE BBB BUREAU REPORT Titusville Florida
*Consumer Suggestion: Spotlight, Wake Up!!
*Consumer Suggestion: Understand the BBB and give them a break
I check out Ameraco with the BBB report and yes, it all sounded good But I found out information about the BBB that wasn't encouraging. The BBB use to be a very reliable source to check out companies...not anymore !!! Ameraco sounded great and the BBB had no problems with them but I feel ameraco had some underling deception that the BBB never knew about. Oh, I did spend the 495.00 for the program 8 months ago...I work hard and submitted properties and how much money I made during those 8 months....0.00 dollars !!! It's not as easy as they say......BEWARE !!!

Spotlight, Wake Up!!

Spotlight,
I am really amazed that you would consider anything about the BBB to be amazing. They are crooks and completely dishonest. I have a suggestion for you. The IRS form 900 is a public information that can be easily obtained. I suggest that you find that form regarding your local BBB and I think you will change your mind. True they are non-profit and supposedly a "charitable" organization and the money they collect is supposed to go for programs and charities. I looked up my local BBB form and found out not only do they claim they have no money, no directors or any programs, but it shows assets listed at $854.00. PLEASE!!! With "membership fees" around $600 per year, wouldn't it seem logical that they have falsified their income returns as well as bilking the American taxpayers in the process? You need a wake up call my friend. I work for a debt settlement company and a really good one. We have over 50,000 active clients and have been in business over 6 years. We have had a total of 56 complaints in ALL that time and the BBB gives our company an F RATING. Why, because we will not participate in thier "charitable" programs by paying "membership fees". Now, look up Bank of America who has approximately 10,000 complaints in a three year period, yet they carry an A rating? Look up Wells Fargo, McDonalds, Ford and anyone else you think is a great company. I guarantee you that they have not only falsified reports about thier members but will shoot down ANY OTHER COMPANY who is not on their "roster". You are looking through muddied eyes amigo and I cannot fathom your trust in this group of organized crime that is NOT a member of the federal government, nor are they endorsed as a focal point for business reports. They are a scam, nothing more. Do your homework and please be open minded. You seem like a smart person so do not be misled. These folks are criminals! But don't take my word for it, do your won research. I have given you the foreground, now you do the background. Good luck!

Understand the BBB and give them a break

I've spent a very intense couple of weeks studying the ways and habits of the various work at home/business opportunity/coaching/consulting/ rebate processing scams, and the BBB has been a great ally and an excellent resource.
A couple of things to understand. The BBB is a non-profit operation and that means, in this economic climate, that they are understaffed, under funded and overwhelmed. There are parts of the country where these scams are a major industry - use the BBB search tool and you'll find over a hundred "work at home" companies within a hundred mile radius of Provo Utah. They do the best they can with very limited resources. They have to, because legit businesses wouldn't bother to join if they weren't actively hunting the bad guys.
Next, take a look at how these businesses operate, even the legit ones. They can close one day and reopen the next, across town or in another state. One company can have a dozen DBAs and affiliates. For example, a friend recently signed up for a program with Tafiti Consulting/Media Learner/The shipper/ebiz Teacher (they have an F with the BBB). His payment was actually made to Ridgecrest Consulting. He was sent study materials from MyEBiz, his Tafiti coach works for PMI, which also shares staff with NMR. Its actually more complicated than that, but you get the idea. Its very difficult to track these entities and determine who is responsible for what, when something goes wrong.
Then there's the problem that people who lodge complaints with the BBB don't do the follow-up required. Cruise the BBB reports and you'll see dozens of coplaints "administratively closed". That basically means that the complainant didn't follow up and respond to questions from the BBB or the company in question. So. No choice but to close the file.
The BBB is not a baby-sitter, the CIA or even CSI. Considering that they do what the government should be doing but can't, I think they're amazing.
