It is unfortunate that Yvonne believes what her company is doing is so commendable. Too bad for her and her cronies....your judgement will come.

People - Research anyone who requests $$$ from you the applicant to apply for a job. The reason American Careers is a scam is not because of the service they "provide" its because of the way it is advertised on the internet. i.e...the website posting does NOT indicate this is a resume, cover letter, or thank you letter assistance service nor does it advertise there is a fee associated with using their service nor do they advertise the refund policy in an open post via the web posting.

Yes you will receive some package of crap in the mail (to keep it all legal) and/or some bs line about how they can help with resume's, cover letters, thank you letters and so on....so can your local workforce commision or maybe your cousin brother or sister...just about any friend or family member....for free. American Careers has posted their ad to resemble an actual job posting from the airlines hiring department....not at all the case....this is a bait and switch technique to draw in unsuspecting consumers....(you are a consumer if you sign up with American Careers, NOT an applicant). They advertise one thing then you find out the truth once you are in....sounds like a car dealership to me. Yes, you can "choose" to buy or not to buy....why is that important bit of information ommitted from the initial ad? Because they want you to think they will get you a job...."Bait and Switch"...oldest form of a rip off known to man. Comes in all different forms, shapes and sizes and yes even over the internet.

By the way did I mention I happen to know a few folks who work for airlines? Here in Dalls at one the major International airport known as DFW-International? I shared Yvonne's God aweful recording with them and we were at least entertained and had something to talk about for 2-3 minutes. In the end, they ALL said the same thing.....SCAM. If you want to work for an airlines company, go to the companies website or call them directly and they will direct you to the positions they have open and anyone can apply. They even have folks that can help place you in the appropriate employment positions. Oh, and it's free. I'm sure I will be hearing from the beloved Yvonne with all her intellectual side mouth talk about how they "help" people find airlines jobs....

Let's see what she has to say.....

In the meantime, Good luck in your search for a fulfilling career and remember it is free to apply for work. There are free services available in every community to help create and develope resume's and cover letters. Be nice to Yvonne....she is just trying to keep her pitiful job too.

God Bless you all - Your brother in Christ,

David in Dallas

AUTHOR: Yvonne Foxworth - ()

POSTED: Wednesday, October 08, 2014

OK folks; please let me try to shed a little light on this thread.

First off, my name is Yvonne Foxworth. I'm a Career Counselor at American Careers (NYC offices).
For the doubters out there, I must say sorry for any confusion or misconceptions about us, but we certainly are NOT a scam. I've been
here for 7.5 yrs. Indeed, I'm very happy with the results I have personally obtained from the many applicants I've assisted to gain
employment at various airports/airlines across the USA. Success stories with many different types of Positions, at varying pay rates, anywhere
from $14 to $22 / hour.  Please see our success stories on our website:

http://www.americancareers.us/Success_Stories.html

Regarding our Service, we simply assist Applicants obtain employment through the information that we email/mail them to get them started with
the Application Process. We then follow up with phone support via our Career Counselors to assist them in every aspect of the Application
Process (Application, Resume, Cover Letters, Thank You Letters, Interviewing Techniques, etc) through our Airline Career Development
Guide & our Airline Hiring Update, which includes current listings of Airline Positions & descriptions which the Applicant may then
apply for at various Airlines. We will attempt to obtain as many interviews for the Applicant as we possibly can. The $39 one-time fee
we charge is refundable in the event we are unable to obtain employment for the Applicant.  Details are included in the paperwork the Applicant
receives.  This is a vast amount of information & assistance which could potentially require many hours to perform individually.

We have many success stories here with regard to Applicants who have taken the time & effort to read / follow the instructions
listed in our Program, and have indeed obtained employment at various Airports across the USA. Obtaining employment takes time and effort.
If Applicants are not willing to follow instructions or contact us for help, we can't possibly assist in those efforts. I will gladly
personally assist anyone out there in their efforts to obtain employment.

Sincerely,

Yvonne Foxworth

My original post was meant as a warning. Take or leave it I don't care. I expected I would get bashed by plenty of people who say this company is giving folks "their best bet" at getting hired on at an airlines. Honestly, I hope you all get hired and are wealthy workers in two years. Of course there are rebuttals.....no telling who REALLY wrote them. Funny thing though. All of the rebuttals I've read are from people who have not yet been hired at any airlines but they defend American Careers. By the way, I'm a hiring manager for my company...... So yeah....I think I have a clue. That's it folks, I'm out on this topic. Good luck and God Bless.

All of these reports makes it confusing to know what to do.  I read what David had to say, it makes sense, but I called American Airlines and asked if they offered specialized help.  I was interesed in becoming a flight attendant.  I have interviewed with American Airlines before.  I have not gotten hired.  I am a smart and outgoing individual.  I have read and read and finally found a company that is willing to show me what I am doing wrong and you say that they are a scam.  My family is not in this country, they are missionaries.  I am on my own here in the states without allot of friends and help.  The employment agencies want to you to be a house cleaner or work at 7-11...can't say that is my cup of tea.  I want what I want, and I suppose that I will have to be misguided in your opinion and take a chance with American Careers.  It seems like they are my best bet of trying to obtain employment.  I can see that there would be allot of problems everywhere if they (American Careers) were to take your money and offer nothing.  I see many reports on here, and I see a rebuttal on most all of them...even yours.  I just am intrigued to ask why you say that the airlines offer help when they don't.

You get the job because you earned the job not because of a paid service who claims to do for you what are already doing....really, is it that hard to accept your own qualifications and rewards for your own efforts? Wait, almost forgot.....everyone gets a trophy these days.

Keep this in mind too.....you don't know who I work for....

It is regrettable that people spend their time posting about compaines that actually help, rather than spending their time doing their job.  I happen to be sitting in ATL right now on a layover.  I tend to wonder why it is worth the waste of time.  What people chose to do with their money is their business.  What you choose to do with your time is your business.  I tend to lean on this belief, if someone wants to obtain help from American Careers let them.  Not all of us are idiots that use their assistance.  We seek the help because American Careers was willing to go above and beyond for us.  I am grateful for the help that I got.  Sorry that you didn't find the same help that I found.  Gotta jet.  Time for my flight.

Peace out!

Sarah

Good luck Christopher,

POSTED: Wednesday, July 30, 2014

Christopher has now proven to the world ignorance truly is bliss and the company he esdorses is a scam. I called the major airlines and confirmed that the service this company offers will do less than little to secure any job at any airlines. This is a free country, spend your money any way you choose but if you were going to make a costly mistake wouldn't you appreciate someone telling you? I know I would...

American Careers helped me to Obtain Employment

AUTHOR: ChrisDunlap - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, July 29, 2014

It is unfortunate and sad that you believe what American Careers is doing is so uncommendable. Too bad for you and your cronies....your judgement will come.

Dude - Research the company and understand that they don't ask for money for a job.  American Careers is not a scam because of the service they provide. Any idiot knows that they can't purchase a job for $39.  If they think that then GOD BLESS THEIR LITTLE HEARTS.  Again Sir, you are incorrect on American Careers, they lead all appliants to their website which discloses all information about their company.  That is what personal website are for, CORRECT?

No, you don't usually recieve a package of crap.  I mean that would totally STINK don't you think?  American Careers actually sends out an inital email to it's applicants (such as myself, I am deaf, but far from dumb).  I have spoken with several career counselors (Joe, Melody) they have taken the time help me to obtain employment.  What you fail to understand that it is far more than a load of "Crap" that American Careers offers.  They offer help, they offer guideance, they offered support for any questions that I had.  There is nothing to keep legal. My family couldn't have supplied me with the help that I got from American Careers, the workforce comission is a joke, joe shmoe off of the street is useless.  You go to the airport and fill out an application, yeah, but there is a lot more to an interview than just filling out an application.  Again, American Careers leads everone to their website, and if you actually did your homework before posting this false ad you would know the same.  Bait and Switch, inorrect they tell everyone to go to their website they everything is disclosed.  All the while they haven't called you, you call them, you listen to their hotline, you visit their website, you do your due dillagence of finding out what the comapany is about.  There are enough posts around the internet that you can fid a number to speak with one of their reps.  I have called and asked questions.  I asked if I was going to get a job by paying for it.  Yes, I knew what the answer should have been, and Mrs. Melody told me that nobody could buy a job.  She told me that they were there to assist me in finding employment....and that if they were unable to find employment then I could have  a refund of my $ because it wasn't theirs.  I never needed the refund because the promise that Mrs.Melody made to me was true.  They helped me to find employment.  I can't say that the whole process was easy.  I still had to work and prepare for the interviews.  But anything worth having in life is worth working for.

Who cares who you know, are you out there trying to help me to get a job?  Are you willing to put forth the effort that American Careers has for me.  If you want to work for an airlines company, you can go to the companies website or call them directly and they will direct you to the positions they have open and anyone can apply. Any idiot knows that, they don't offer help in how to interview for their positions, they never offered me help in placing me into an appropriate employment position.  I know what I am talking about because I tried on my own.  I didn't succeed.  I asked for American Careers help and I found sucess.

Good luck to everyone else out there.  I don't need anyone telling me how I was scammed.  I wasn't, I am happy with my grownup bigboy decision.

God Bless you - Your brother in Christ,

Christopher
