first of all he called to my place of work and asked to speak with me and he had the last 4 digit of my SS# and asked was it correct i said yes.  he then told me i had a law suit pending with american legal services. 

he had all of my information like name, address and place of work.  he asked for me to hold to speak with his supervisor mark harrison and he said that i owe cash advance usa $6,000 and they are willing to settle for $300 and wanted to know if I could pay by september 30, 2011. 

mark asked if I would call him back at 347-474-7041 when I had my payment.

Sorry to hear that you are being harassed by these criminals.  Contact your local FBI and / or sheriff and report this crime.  Whatever you do, DO NOT pay them money or allow them access to your bank account.  They have either stolen or bought records from cash advance places and are trying to collect on paid off debts. We are not associated with them at all, but they are illegally using our business name.  We are a bankruptcy law firm in Michigan.  Place a fraud alert on your credit report.  If you did actually apply for a cash advance, they have your personal and banking information.  PROTECT YOURSELF!

File a complaint with the below agencies:
