Do not do business with ALG or Jeremy Swisher. I wish I had known about this site before I called them. I see they are listed several times. I found this company on Bankrate.com in January of 09.

At first, Jeremy was very personable and responsive. He truly seemed sincere. Then, as soon as he had my $250 "commitment fee" and the $450 appraisal on one home and $350 on the other were paid for, he disappeared! He didn't answer my calls (I had to always tell the operator I would just hold since he was always "on the other line" or "in a meeting") if I wanted to contact him. This turned into a battle of wills. Who would wait longer? He didn't respond to my questions or concerns via email. Sometimes he would answer if he needed something from me, but without all of the answers to my questions or to address all of my concerns. The information he provided me was consistently inaccurate and I constantly had to call him to ask him to make corrections. It was like I had to babysit him the whole time. It really felt like I had to do his job for him.

Below is a copy of the complaint I filed with the Attorney General:

I applied for two loans with this company. Neither loan closed due to lender incompetence, and I never received even semi-accurate GFEs on either of them (required by law), but my complaint is specifically about one loan that the company owes me $850 on. I applied for the loan and got a rate guarantee. I debated on whether or not to buy down the rate (this typically means more money for the loan officer involved) but decided against it. I let the loan officer, Jeremy Swisher, know in writing we did not want to go with the buydown on two different occasions. He locked us in with the buy downs anyway. He then told me that he could probably get it reversed so we should just move forward. By this time we already had $700 in and then an additional $150 he said he would credit us at closing for an additional appraisal fee. A few days before closing he said he could not reverse his mistake that we would have to pay the unwanted buydowns. In the industry this is called a "bait and switch". We chose not to sign as the contract was not on our originally agreed upon terms. The company told us in writing it would return our $250 "commitment fee" since it didn't close due to lender error. It also had said it would pay the $150 in writing. It should also pay the $450 for the appraisal that we had to pay for before the "mistake" was made and the terms changed. I contacted the owner/broker, Warin Kumar, and his management team several times but with no results. They have stopped answering my phone calls/emails regarding the refund.

People, this has been going on for 6 months! It was a horrendous experience and I hope people will see this and save their time, money and mental health by not using this company.

There was one loan officer there that I could easily get a hold of that let me know what my file was needing (since my own loan officer never did) and was very responsive even though it was not his file and he would not get paid. His name was Vinny. If he worked for a different company under a different owner/broker, I would probably work with him again.
