American Values rip-off! They lie, deceive, and steal! Las Vegas Nevada

Like with a lot of you here, my wife was contacted by this company to save money. She figured; why not, if it doesn't work she would cancel and get a refund, which is what she was told when she signed up. Funny thing is this company contacted me several times and I told them to take us off of there calling list, that in itself is illegal (to continue to call after I requested that). After she received the packet she realized what the said on the phone was not exactly what we received so she canceled immediately and was given a "cancellation confirmation number.

After that we noticed that we were charged automatically from our bank account after we cancelled with them... so they stole from us and tapped into our financial institution illegally.

We then took the necassary steps to get a refund for the 99.90, 3.95 and 44.00 in overdraft fees. We waited about a month to call and were told they never received the paper work for the refund. We then told them BS and we would call back to check status if refund had not been received. When we called we found out they had the paperwork and the check was to be issued on 08/06/04 and to wait about 14 days. So on the 20th when we hadn't received the money we found out the "authorization" for refund was for only 99.90 but even that was "under review" by the corporate office.

Here it is 08/31/04 and still no new news on our refund. This company is a JOKE and promotes illegal actions. They made a breach of contract when they did not give us all our fund like mentioned in there disclaimer on the back of their letter, and they have stolen my money and refuse to give it back. I urge all of us to start a class action suit against this company.
