americredit Deceptive Texas

First was deceived by their practices when getting the load. Paid on time and asked to re-fianance but was told could not. We let that go but had to file bankruptcy due to both of us losing our jobs  at the same time. Gave the car back never heard a word from them. Then all of a sudden this year I get a 1099-C which forgave me for the debt. I had the IRS wanting money from our tax return in 2011. Lucky for me they were on my bankruptcy but never did Americredit contact me after I gave the car back. We had that car for 3 years on a 5 year loan and still owed them over 12000 when they came to get it. That I could not figure out since we only paid a little more than 9000 for the car.
