AmeriSpec did the home inspection for a house we just purchased, but in only 24 hours we have already found several obvious items that were not reported and we expect we will find more. 

The reason for a home inspection is to have peace of mind that everything works before you close on the house. We have zero confidence in the home inspection provided by this service.

For example, we discovered that there were no working remote controls for the garage door opener, so, day one, $70 for new remotes and programming.

One of the sliding doors does not have a properly functioning lock.

The gas fireplace we were told was outside of the scope of the inspection..., why? That's exactly the type of item you want checked.

Also, the inspection does not go beyond the eaves of the home. Again, why not? As a buyer, you're buying the entire home and propert, and want everything inspected.
