I recently found out that ancestry.com has been making unauthorized repeat "membership" charges to my credit card.  I will have to cancel this card.  Iterestingly, another company in provo, utah pulled the same exact scam.  The other company is (((REDACTED))).  Do not give either firm a credit card number!!!

How did they get your payment information?

It's most likely you signed up for this...

How would that be a Ripoff?

Also, (((REDACTED))) hasn't been around by that name for a few years now.  When you sign up for the service, the contract is for a fixed number of months, usually 36. You have to follow the cancellation terms in the contract YOU signed or it will automatically renew for 1 year intervals.  It sounds like you're a bit careless with you finances.  (((REDACTED))), as it was when I signed up, is now (((REDACTED))),  which I have and I have read their contract.  I also used Ancestry.com for about a year and found them to be a good company with which to deal

Again, what were the Ripoffs?
