AOL Netmarket ripoff Internet

They got me again!

When I recently received a letter from my bank stating that my account was overdrawn in the amount of $79.99 and that they had covered it as a courtesy but to please make a deposit to my account, I was confused because I knew that I had not written a check in that amount. The bank gave me a printout of the charge and it was AOL Netmarket.

I then called the number (877-209-0226) that appeared on my bank statement. The woman, Mrs.Kelly, operator#31029 that answered the phone asked me for my account number, I informed her that I didn't have an account number because I had never bought anything from them and that all I wanted was to do was to cancel the account. She then asked me for my last name and after a few minutes she told me that their was no account under that name. She then asked me for my first/last name.

After a few minutes she told me that she still couldn't find an account under that name. She then asked me how long I had that account, and I told her that I never had an account. She then asked me for my address to see if she could retrieve my account with my home address. Once again she informed me that she couldn't find an account with neither my name or address. At this point I was getting inpatient and I told her that all I wanted was to close the account. She informed me that she couldn't do that, and that I needed to write a letter to Support Services to get it close.

She informed me that I could fax the letter to the following number 614-835-5124. I have faxed the letter every day for a week and no one has responded yet. AOL Netmarket did this same thing to me last year and gave me the same runaround with the same results. I know that there are many such as myself that have been victimized by these scammers and something needs to be done to shut them down!
