Dear Mr ******,

Subject: Order Number - 204085868

Thank you for your email regarding the delivery of your fridge freezer.

I am very sorry to read that your old appliance has finally given up the ghost, thus leaving you and your wife back in a difficult position. I do appreciate just how inconvenient and costly piecemeal shopping can be and how awkward it is not to have access to a fridge or freezer - especially given the warm weather we have just experienced. I can only apologise for the continued distress that this delay is causing you both.

Having looked into your order, I can confirm that the stock date has not changed from Monday 17th June 2013 and that Indisit will contact you if they are able to bring your delivery date forward.

Should you require any further assistance please do not hesitate to contact us at order.enquiries@argos.co.uk or call us on 0845 640 2020.

Regards,

Fiona Pembroke

Me again!

I have not heard anything new in the last 10 days, so I assume the date of stock coming in is still 17th June? as stated in a previous email, I had the old fridge freezer temporarily repaired, the guy who repaired it, said it was a bodge up job, and it wouldn't last long, unfortunately, with all the delay in delivery, it has finally given up the ghost, so I am now back in the situation where the wife has reverted to buying our essentials and foodstuff on a daily basis, as I said before, it is a very expensive way of doing the shopping.

Is there any way you can expedite the delivery? this is now causing my wife, and myself a lot of stress.

Thank you for your email regarding the price of the Indesit BIAA13FWD Black Frost Free Fridge Freezer - Del/Rec (catalogue number - 487/2801).

I am sorry to read of the difficulties experienced with regards to the availability of stock.

With regards to the value of the Indesit BIAA13FWD Black Frost Free Fridge Freezer - Del/Rec (catalogue number - 487/2801), I can confirm that, while the unit is currently priced at £389.99, and while you paid £349.99, its first selling price was £529.99. We did sell the unit at this price, and have lowered the price by varying amounts throughout its run.

Hello!

It's me again!!!!

I have been in contact with Indesit again today, they have informed me that the date for stock being in has changed yet again, it is now no longer 27th May, but 15th June, a lady named Carol phoned and gave me the option of choosing another fridge freezer, from either Indesit or Hotpoint, my wife looked on line and chose Hotpoint FFU4DK, Carol informed me that I
could not have this, because of the vast price difference, I noted that your advertised price for the item I ordered was £539.99, but at a special offer price £180 off, the price of Hotpoint FFU4DK is advertised at appliances on line at £554, a difference of £14.01, to the advertised price of the item I ordered before the £180 off, does this mean you are being a little generous with the truth on the item I ordered? Is this classed as false advertising? I am more and more convinced, as this saga is dragging on, that both yours, and Indesit's idea of customer relations is badly flawed.

well! what a surprise! the comment on your last email received at 15-50 this afternoon:

"After looking in to your order I can see that a note has been left by my colleague to advise that they will be calling you later this afternoon (Tuesday 14 May 2013) to discuss this issue further with you". was again a slight exaggeration of the truth, no colleague of yours has had the decency, or might I add, the courage, to call me, would this be because there is nothing that they could say, to allay my frustration and annoyance at the shabby treatment I have received from both yourselves and Indesit?

From being a promised 7 day delivery, the best case scenario at this time is 42/43 days, ( I cannot even rely on delivery within this timescale, after other broken promises), you have stated that I will receive a goodwill gesture when my delivery is completed, what goodwill gesture could compensate for all the grief, expense, time and trouble this has caused?

I don't know how we would have coped, without having the old fridge freezer repaired, otherwise I would have cancelled this order, and taken matters to the ombudsman, as it is, I will be seeking advice on this matter, and using social media to publicise the treatment I have received.

Hello!

Another deadline has come and gone, yet another promise has been broken, the latest being that the new date for the fridge freezer being in stock today, it is now almost 2-00 pm and I have not received any notification of delivery.

It has now been 25 days since my order was placed, the reason I placed the order, was because our fridge freezer had broken down, and your offer, and promised delivery of 7 days was, I thought, the best option for me, my judgement was obviously wrong, we have endured an extra 18 days, and counting!!!! where my wife has had to shop, piecemeal, just buying things on a daily basis, as we had nowhere to store anything, bus fares to and from town are not a small expense every day, also buying a single pint of milk, rather than the 4 pint carton we would usually buy, proves very expensive in the long run, buying meat etc, for single meals, rather than in bulk, costs so much extra, these are only some of the extra expenses we have accumulated, due to the late delivery, so last week, as a stopgap, I had to fork out another £40 to have someone look at our existing fridge freezer, he has managed to get it working, (after a fashion), at least it will keep things cool, but will you please, please get something sorted?
The money for this item was paid promptly,  so why can’t it be dealt with in the same manner?

I have just received a telephone call from a lady named Jane, at Indesit, with the information, that the fridge freezer I ordered on 18/03/2013, with a promised 7 day delivery, will now not be in stock until 13/05/2013, taking into account the 2-3 days delivery from the time it comes into stock, the best case scenario will be 28 days, you altered the delivery
for this product to 21 days, after my order was placed, and are still advertising on your web site 21 days, are you sure you can fulfill this promise? there must be other people who ordered the same item, after you changed the 7 to 21 days, who will not receive their product in the stated 21 days.

I am certainly not happy with the standard of service I have received, you have now had £350 of my money for 14 days, and I have nothing to show for this, except 2 apologetic phone calls, 3 apologetic emails, and sore ears
from my wife, with her constant complaining, unfortunately she insists on this specific item,(fridge freezer), otherwise I would have gone elsewhere.

Re: ARG9362838X.

Again, I feel I have been fobbed off, not only by yourselves, but also by Indesit, I was passed on to Indesit earlier in the week, when inquiring about my delivery, they promised that the item would be in stock sometime this week, and I would be contacted to arrange a date for delivery, I also, later, received a phone call from yourselves, apologising for the
delay, and promising compensation, this would be in the form of Argos vouchers, to an undetermined value, at this time: 1-23 pm Friday 26th April, I have still received no notification of when I can expect delivery of the fridge freezer, as stated previously, this is of great inconvenience to myself, as when ordered from your web site, the delivery was promised within 7 days.

I sincerely hope to hear from, both yourselves, and Indesit, in the very near future.

Chris.
