We bought a new sofa loveseat recliner tables etc around 3 years ago. We also bought the extended warranty because the couch has electrical wiring for the recliners. We had trouble in the months prior to this with a recliner we had purchased in Nov 2010... the recliner was delivered broken. I first called 1 1/2 years later !! *NOW* They told us to buy the $50 leather cleaner and conditioner at the time of purchase, which we did. ALSO WE PAID FOR THE BS FURNITURE PROTECTOR WHICH IS JUST WATER, I LATER FOUND OUT * waste of $*. WE cleaned as instructed. Like I was saying, I called 1 1/2 years later. My husbands chair was comming apart at the seam by where his head would lay. It WAS PEELING !!!.They said it was from normal use. WHAT! I have never had that happen before. The furniture we had purchased from BREWBAKERS never did that. ( I WISH THEY STILL OWNED THE BUSINESS). I WAS SOOO UPSET ABOUT THAT. HOW SAD TO BUY FURNITURE COVERS FOR YOUR BARELY 2 YEAR OLD FURNITURE AND WE ARE BARELY HOME AND USED... NOV 22 my husband was sitting in his chair, after a 14 hour day WHEN THE CHAIR BROKE. THE BOTTOM GAVE WAY!!!! We were SHOCKED... WE COULDN'T BELIEVE IT !!!  WE WERE SHOCKED!!!!ALL OF THE 2x4 WOOD CHIPS ARE ALLOVER THE FLOOR.(which I saved in a ziplock). I of course went to the filing cabinet and pulled out the art van booklet and called. It was past normal business hours and they were closed. I called the next day.  My husband, who works 6-7 days a week maybe sits in his chair 3 hours a night. He is not heavy, the dog is a 17 pound pug, and not allowed on his chair.. OUR CHILDREN ARE 15 and 19, AND OUR DAUGHTER HAS LIVESIN FLORIDA FOR THE PAST YEAR. She is home for the holidays, and in college. IT IS JUST PLAIN CHEAP JUNK!!! DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM ART VAN!!! I TOOK PHOTOS AND SHOT A VIDEO THAT NIGHT. They were SO SO SORRY and nice on the phone. THEY ACTED LIKE THEY CARED AND THIS WOULD BE FIXED NO PROBLEM, we PURCHASED THE EXTENDED WARRANTY. 12/2  guy comes out he is NOT from ART JUNK, but an independent contractor hired by Art Junk. I asked him if  he, had ever have seen this happen? he said yes, a lot.!! He is checking the chair over and he says well it can be fixed. I did  say  I would rather have a new chair. I do not want u to rebuild this junk. He said ," I UNDERSTAND" and I will report that back to Art Junk. He told me they will probably just fix it, I called my husband then, a little mad. He then talked to ******. He handed me the phone back and said to see what the company says. I said ok. I did not hear anything. I also asked****** if it would be okay to put the chair in the garage. ( I didnt want to void the warranty in any way)I wanted to put the Christmas tree up and the broken chair was moved to the living room. We had in the meantime went to one of our rentals and brought back a 22 year old Berkline that we had bought from BREWBAKERS!!THAT CHAIR LOOKS BETTER THAN THIS, I might add.... NO peeling or CRACKED LEATHER... IT IS BLUE, our new junk, tan!!. TODAY, 12/17 I phoned Art Junk.. They couldn't find us in the computer at all.. She took my name and phone number after I explained everything. She called me back 10 minutes later, and said," WE ARE NOT GOING TO FIX ANYTHING...YOU REFUSED TO HAVE THE CHAIR FIXED".  WHAT?????  ARE YOU KIDDING ME!! NO...... No...... I OF COURSE COULD FEEL MY BLOOD PRESSURE AT ITS BOILING POINT.. SHE ALSO ADDED:THEY ARE NOT GOING TO FIX ANYTHING AND IT DOES NOT MATTER THAT WE HAVE AN EXTENDED WARRANTY. I LOST IT AND SCREAMED AT HER TO HAVE CORPORATE CALL ME. My husband is a partner in a very well known company. We may live in a small town, but HE KNOWS A LOT OF PEOPLE. A contractor himself, he does a lot of REFERALS... THIS COMPANY KEEPS SCREWING THE HARD WORKING PEOPLE. This HAS TO STOP.. WE BOUGHT THE EXTENDED WARRANTYAND YOUR CHEAP JUNK BROKE, no FAULT OF OURS!!!  Anyway I called ***** who was here 12/2... I spoke to him and I asked him if he thought we broke it .... HIS ANSWER WAS NO. I told him what was said to me. He said," I put in the report exactly what we talked about. How you really didn't want this junk, but if they had to fix it then ok"... I AM SO APPALLED !!!!! I WILL NOT LET THESE CROOKS GET AWAY WITH THIS... I can see from this RIP-OFF REPORT.... THEY DO NOT Care AND ARE A DISHONEST COMPANY!!!! BY THE WAY, MY BROTHER IS A LAWYER..... I WILL NOT BACK DOWN. I did tell that girl on the phone. I will bring THIS PIECE OF JUNK TO THE PETOSKEY STORE AND LET EVERYONE SEE THE JUNK THEY ARE BUYING..we are also calling the credit card company. We of course put this on a credit card and looking into the fair credit billing act..... DO NOT BUY FROM ART VAN AT ALL... IT IS ALL JUNK.... IT IS NOT BREWBAKERS ANYMORE !!!! I also have constructed letters to the Petoskey News Review, Detroit Free Press, and the Traverse City Record Eagle. I also am going to contact NBC and MICHIGAN NEEDS A TV STATION TO HAVE THE .....TO GO AFTER COMPANIES THAT DO WRONG TO US.... CONSUMERS...... WE ARE SPREADING THE WORD... FACEBOOK, TWITTER  ETC.....the photos and video we took.....
