I purchased a Samsung Eternity Phone on-line through AT&T. When they e-mailed me the rebate form, I filled it out.
The form states to includ the rebate form with all fields filled in, a photocopy of the Sales Receipt OR the order confirmation sheet and the IMEI Proof of Purchase Label from the Box the phone came in.
I promptly filled out the form, cut out the IMEI number from the box and then taped it to the front of the Order Confirmation Form directly next to where it has a picture of the phone, the name of the phone, and the cost of the phone.
There is NO WAY that this could have been misplaced as AT&T agrees they received the IMEI number so they MUST have the order confirmation too.
When I called to see how my rebate was coming along, they told me that there is an error and I need to send them the order confirmation. I explained to them what I did and they say they still need the order confirmation. I said fine, let me e-mail it or fax it and they said no, they cannot do that. I asked when I would receive my letter and they said it is not even written yet!!!!! It will now take three weeks for the letter to get here and then another six weeks to be approved!!!
What a crock!!! AT&T, you are NOT fooling anyone. You should be ashamed.
