AT&T Wireless Fraudulent Billing! ripoff abused & mistreated ripoff Denver Colorado Internet

AT&T is unquestionably the worst service organization I have ever dealt with. During the term of my wireless phone contract, it was like pulling teeth trying to get a hold of a human being.

Using the AT&T Wireless automated Customer "Service" line is an excercise in futility. There is no clearly stated option for speaking to a representitive. You have to cleverly dig around through sub-prompts to get there. These people clearly don't want to speak with you unless they absolutely have to.

At an rate here's my real beef...I had a cell account with these insufferable bastards that expired in October of 2002. I notified them by telephone that I had no intention of renewing the contract (poor service, lousy coverage in my area, poor value) and asked them to close the account. Some days prior to the end of the contract I destroyed the old Ericsson phone that I had in anticipation of a new service and a new phone.

In December I received a bill for service after the account was closed and the phone discarded. I had a lengthy discusion with one of AT&T's service geniuses in which I was yelled at and insulted in my attempts to get through to this GED holding simian that I did not use the phone after 10/25/02 and that I owe them NOTHING!

They have continued to bill me every month since claiming that 5 minutes of use continues to show up every month since November 2002. They have now placed me in collections, and the matter goes unresolved. In addition, when I have requested copies of these alleged records of my use of the phone, they say: "Sure. Send us a check for $15.00 dollars, and we'll send you a copy". WHAT THE @#@$@# IS THAT?!!! These people suck. I wouldn't help a single one of them if they were on fire.
