I went to Auto Gallery Import, and I first met this guy name Joseph
He wrote down all my information and I told him, that I have bad credit issue, however now I'm making good money, and I would like to get a car and start out a fresh relationship with the bank

Joseph told me not a problem, we work with all credit, good or bad

Later on, this guy name Steve came in, and after Steve left, Joseph told me Steve is from the bank, and he is the one will get you the approval, but later on I found out, Steve is a manager, not from the bank.

Because I went there was so late, I can't get the bank answer, so Joseph told me to go on home, and he will call me tomorrow.

Next day, Joseph called me and told me he can't get an approval for the car I wanted, however he can get me another car, he told me to go onto his website Auto Gallery Imports dot com and check it out, I saw the car, is not exactly what I wanted, but I'm desperately needed a car, so I told them I will take it for $13,000

Later on I got there, and Steve got all these papers for me to sign, and he going over everything so fast because he is saying they are closing, and they are helping me by staying late, so they're trying to get me out of here with my new car.

When I first met with Joseph and Steve, I told them I want the car payment for $300 or lower, they got me monthly payment for $477

Also before all this is happens, I told them both clearly that I don't have any money for down payment which they're asking for $3000, they told me they will take care of it with the bank, and will add it onto the payment

They charged me $300 for the license plate, which I paid on the spot, and later they asked me do I have any money at all for the taxes, I told them no, and I asked how much is it, they said is approx $1,800

Remember, all these we are doing here are all in the rush, because we are finalizing all the paperwork here.

Now here what I don't understand, if the car is $13,000, and they wanted $3000 down payment, isn't that going to get it down to $10,000 for the car?
$1,800 for the tax, so the total coming down to $14,800 for the car + tax, and they charged me another $300 for the car insurance deposit, which later on I found out that was not true, the insurance company never charge me anything

Now I'm out $600 in my pocket, $300 for the insurance deposit (or that's what they told me), and $300 for the license plate

$14,800 for the car + tax

Now I understand all car sales man have to make their living, and from what I understand, their profit will be usually from $1,000 to $3,000 per car

I got home later, I checked over all the paperwork, it showing my car loan is for 72 months!!! Are you kidding me???
$477 x 72 months, I'm paying $35,000 for this old car!!!

Where is all the money goes??

They are being so..greedy, making $15,000 profit?

Now back to the insurance part
Later one I found out I have an automatic without from a car insurance company, which nobody told me, I called the insurance company, and I asked, why are you taken $170 for my car insurance?
The insurance agent told me that's how much my car insurance monthly cost, but that's not what Joseph guy told me, he told me was only $100 a month, later on I kept talking to the insurance agent, we both came to found out, Joseph using my information and went online and bought my insurance for me which is illegal said from the insurance agent, and he asked me do I need to file a report.

Now I'm stuck with the car, tomorrow I'm going to call the bank and have them take it away, no way I'm paying $35,000 for this 2007 volkswagen

To the public, if you have bad credit, and no one willing to loan you the money for a new or used car, they are people out there that can help you, but PLEASE do lots of research and don't be stupid like me

I don't like how these people can sleep at night knowing how they take advantage to other people that needed help, but you know what? What goes around comes around, remember that

I lost this time, but I will make sure I live long enough to see you all suffers

Use your brain

"Now here what I don't understand, if the car is $13,000, and they wanted $3000 down payment, isn't that going to get it down to $10,000 for the car?"

You said you couldn't afford the down payment. Do you think that the bank or dealership would just GIVE your the down payment? C'mon, think for a sec.

"I saw the car, is not exactly what I wanted, but I'm desperately needed a car..."

Therein lies the problem. You desperately needed a car, so you didn't use the brain God gave you to do your due diligence. You had to have it so bad and after you got what you wanted you don't agree on the terms YOU signed for. Geez dude, get a grip.

When did the New Jersey state sales tax increase to 13.8%?

AUTHOR: coast - (USA)

POSTED: Monday, March 26, 2012

"I told them I want the car payment for $300 or lower, they got me monthly payment for $477"

Say no.

"$1,800 for the tax, so the total coming down to $14,800 for the car + tax"

Doesn't the $14800 include the tax? When did the New Jersey state sales tax increase to 13.8%?

"Later one I found out I have an automatic without from a car insurance company"

I don't understand that statement.

Its interest

AUTHOR: Kilrath - (United States of America)

POSTED: Sunday, March 25, 2012

First things first, the $35,000 total after 72 months would be due to interest on the loan that you were given through the dealer for the car, that is standard practice for any line of credit that you get from anyone.  It looks like the auto loan that you got is at a rate of about 15% interest and would thus come to your total payment if you make no more than minimum payments every month.

If you are able to i would suggest making larger payments where it is possible because it will reduce the overall amount that you pay.

On the issue of the $300 licensing fee, that is normal and depending on state seems to be within the  normal range if you needed a completely new set of plates.  In wisconsin for example the title costs you $70, then the registration costs you $75, being uninsured at the time that you gained the title costs you an additional $50, plates themselves usually cost about $10 and then there are any additional fees for your city/county of residence averaging $10-20 in wisconsin for a total of about $230, a bit less than what you paid but the dealership also usually charges a small fee for doing said paperwork for you.

As to the $300 insurance fee, that seems suspect and i would look into that if i were you.
