Bally Total Fitness Scaming Harassing And Manipulative ripoff scam dishonest rude harass damaging pain swindeling Bloomington Minnesota

In late June, a friend and I went into Bally's to check the place out. They had a one month - $5 trial special going, and we signed up for it. We went a few times in between working full time and getting ready for college, and weren't able to go too much. We called to cancel about 25 days after we started the month trial, and they said they would do it.

Soon after, we started getting bills for the membership, which had not been canceled. In fine print, it said that we would have had to go 14 times in the month to be able to cancel the account, along with paying a $50 cancelation fee.

We've been fighting with them for some months now, and just recently have been able to get one of our guests off the account. She was 14, and didn't even sign the contract, which would have been null and void anyways. My friend got off because of her asthma, and now I'm stuck with either paying the bill, or hurting myself so I can get a doctor to write me a note.

My friend's credit has been damaged, we have recieved several harassing phone calls from their offices, and just recently they called us and said THEY hired an attorney for US and will take us to court. It's insane.
