I sent a certified cancellation letter to Bally Total Fitness 1 day after I signed a contract which I felt like I was pressured into signing. I went there to claim a free pass so I could try out the club and somehow before I knew it I ended up with a three year contract in my hand after a salesman used everything on me that he had up his sleeve. Back to my mailed cancellation, since I didn't see my account credited back for my charge for set up fee I wanted to call today and make sure they cancelled and I am getting my money back...well, I ended up calling this number 1-562-484-2980...it doesn't look like a 1-800 to me..therefore I sould get ready to pay some long distance charges for about 40 minutes I spent on the phone waiting to talk to a costumer service rep. Also, I would like to mention one more thing ..it took them 2 days to take my money ...we'll did it take them the same to give them back????....I say "NO"

Thanks, to this website I finally found a number where I could call Bally and find out about my cancellation. I saw a complaint on here that actually had a good number to call...which is definetly not the one they offer on their site....anyway I got a hold of the customer reps. to find out that I will get my money back only in two weeks...well, it took them 2 days to suck it up from my account..why should I wait 2 weeks?????...the customer rep.
I talked to said that they have many things they need to take care of until they get to me...well...why should I care about what they have to do...if they cared about us they would wait three days like the law provides ..to see if we cancel our contract...and then if we don't they should think about charging...this company is a joke...
