Bank of America Mortgage modification rip off, increasing my mortgage so much we cant afford it. Internet

In 2009 I was out of work and we called our current Mortgage Co Countrywide Mtg which at the time was being bought out by Bank of America.  We started a Mortgage Modification in Sept of 2009 since we knew we would be running into financial trouble.  It has now been 2 years and several months later and they just approved our modification however they are taking the $10,000.00 we are behind on our mortgage and saying we need to pay them back with this modification at $500.00 more per month to our mortgage to  make up the difference over the next 30 years.  That to me does not add up that comes out to $178,000.00 way over the $10,000.00 we owe.  I would love to know how they came up with this figure, they keep giving us the run around saying we need more documents we have given them so many documents its riduclous.  I keep asking them to tell me the lagistics of this and they keep putting us off saying they cant tell us anything until it comes back from their Quality Control Department.  We are being ripped off and we are going to loose our home because of this.  Another mortgage scam at work.
