Bank Of America, Bank of American Charges fees on top of overdraft fees North Carolina Nationwide

I just got off of the phone with a bank of America rep by the name of Michele at extension 1580. If you've also been ripped off by Bank of America call the customer service number 1-800-432-1000 and dial extension 1580 and let her know that you're going to take legal action.

I checked my account today and I received 6 overdraft fees, even after I deposited money to put the account in positive status. I asked her to tell me if the withdrawls exceeded the deposits and she would not do it because they do not. Bank of America advertises that they do not charge fees on top of fees and they also advertise "free checking." It's not free. You will pay hundreds of dollars for their checking.

They also say that the balance is in "real time" and that the available balance is the correct balance, when even if you do the math and know that you're in the positive, you'll still end up in the negative because they charge you an overdraft fee for the overdraft that they put on your account. I do not have a problem balancing my checkbook. These fees are unexpected because we don't cause them.

If the deposits you made equal $2600 for a month and your withdrawals that you actually made equal $2400, then the logical reason that you're being charged overdraft fees is because they're charging you for overdraft fees.
