bank of america chaged me 10 times for overdraw $350 dallors in fees .I deposited my pay check and they said it would not clear in time. so i went to american express and got tavels checks which are treated as cash for deposit. they said they would take 1 day to clear. this was at 11 am on a non holiday thurs.

i had ten small withdraws pending and was trying to fund the acount anyway possible to avoid these charges. then i went to tansfere money from my saving to my checking and the sent the money to my bank of america amex card instead of my checking. thats why i used tavels checks to get that money back. they refused all my efforts to fund this account. i made evey attempt to fund this account and they still charged me 10 fees.

You spent money before you had it...where's the ripoff?

AUTHOR: J G Shrugged - (U.S.A.)

Most banks post debits before credits, so you can't deposit cash the same day of "pending" transactions to prevent overdraft/unavailable fees.

No Rip Off

You MUST stop using your debit card. It is the sole reason for your overdraft situation. Reading your complaint made me think you were trying to race money to the bank in advance of the debits. Consider this: unless you can travel at the speed of light (186,000 miles per second), you will lose that race.

It will be up to the graciousness of BofA whether to refund you anything on the OD, they refund a few - not all. I would not expect much at this point. The person to blame for this can be found when you look at a mirror. Next time, don't use your debit card for anything except withdrawing cash from an ATM.

Best of luck to you.

They have done that to mee to, you need to go in to the branch and talk to someone, they will remove all the fees (except the one that you really did do)
