Bank Of America Credit Card Points Ripoff Phoenix Arizona

I have a Chrysler Rewards Visa through Bank of America. They advertise 5 points per dollar spent at all authorized Chrysler dealerships, and 1 point per dollar spent everywhere else.

I bought an extended warranty for my Chrysler in November 2005 at an authorized Chrysler dealership for $1630. That should mean that for that one transaction alone, I should be awarded 8150 points. But my account point balance was only in the 6000s after charging several thousand more dollars.

So, I called customer service, who transferred me to the rewards redemption center, who transferred me to customer service. No one wanted to deal with this points error, "oh, it's not my department". I explained my case on 3/15/06 to customer service. The said that I had bought my warranty at an authorised dealership, so I should be awarded 5 points per dollar for that transaction, and they said that they would audit my points account.

A week and a half later, I got a letter from B of A, stating that my account had been audited, and that the points were awarded correctly. So, I called again, only to get the same runaround. After painstakingly explaining my dilemma to 3 reps, I finally got one who could add (imaging that, people who work at a bank who can add!!), and she said that my points statement will be correct by next billing cycle, but we shall see.

If the accounting department at B of A hires retards like this to handle money, the entire economy is in a lot of trouble because they are a huge bank, I for one am through being ripped off by them, and as soon as I redeem my points, I will cancel all of my accounts with them.
