Bank of America, I hope you are proud of yourself. I deposited an insuranlce check in your bank and you gave me a receipt that said the funds would be abvailable on 12/21/2016. You made some funds available than for no reason you put a hold on the rest of my money until 12/28/2016. I have receipt you gave me saying the entire funds would be released ono the 21st.

The check was for flood damage to my home when Hurricane Hermine hit the west coast of Florida. The only thing worse than a hurricane is you and your rotten rip off ban k. I am so disgusted and will contact any Government, private, and media to let the whole world know about your stinking, ripoff lowlife bank.

I hope the whole world finds out how disgusting and unethical you are. I hope you go out of business and all of you end up on the unemployment line. And while things are at the lowest, I hope someone rips you off. I hope every dog in Pasco County relieves itself in your lobbyl

First off the article link you posted was from 2006...over TEN years ago.  Second, that was ONE branch in a company that has more than 5,000 branches.   Third, that article has NOTHING to do with a funds availiability policy which is what your issue is.  In all of your "research" that is all you came up with about how bad this "evil" bank is?

Then you stated this was from damage from Hurricane Hermine.  Well the Hurricane hit Central Florida in the beginning of September.    So if we look at this, it took your insurance company over 3 months to get you your check.  How come it was BofA that caused you to put your life "on hold" until after Christmas?  If your life wasn't on hold before, just how did you make it that 3 months?

Where is your complaint on the insurance company for the amount of time it took to get you the check?  Has had you received your check probably even a week earlier all of your funds would have been released before Christmas.   On the other side, had they gotten you the check a week or two later you wouldn't have even had any of it for Christmas at all.

When you opened your account you agreed to be bound by their Funds Availability Policy, and on a broader level Regulation CC AKA "Expedited Funds Availability Act".  Which states when the funds of a check must be made available.  On certain cases it allows for "extended" holds of up to 11 business days.  If they are following this, there is really nothing they are doing wrong.  And since the EFAA is FEDERAL regulations nothing any agency is really going to be able to do for you.

One final item.  If they gave you a letter stating it would be available on 12/28..SOMETIMES if you contact the bank(going in talking to an actual human sometimes helps more) and explain what the check is they MAY make the funds available sooner.  It's not guaranteed but may be worth a try.

It was YOU who opened the account and YOU who was presented with the "Funds Availability" policy.  It was YOU who agreed to that policy when YOU agreed to open the account!  YOU come here now acting all surprised by what has happened which was no doubt explained in their "FUNDS AVAILABILITY" policy which quite obviously YOU didn't read!  Quite obviously when we strip away all YOUR BS, anyone with half a brain can see what happened and what type of cry baby YOU are.  Let me save you some time, don't bother writing back with even more BS like " you must work for them", because I don't!!!

The reality is that depending on the amount of the check it can take up to a whole week to clear. If YOU wanted access to the FULL amount for christmas then YOU should have cashed it earlier then YOU did. YOU can STOP playing the victim because its the banks who get to suffer. Insurance fraud is a very big issue. So each check the recieve they MUST ensure is good. The bigger the check the longer the wait. Just because YOU are ignorant of HOW banking works doesnt make THEM a ripoff. THAT is just YOU being a SOUR D-BAG!!! Get over it!!!! YOU CHOSE when YOU were going to deposit said check, NOT THE BANK!! The bank MUST do thier due dilligence!!! Its good to see that not only has the milk of human kindness has currdled in YOUR soul but that YOU have ZERO tolerance FOR REALITY!!!! Poor baby, YOU dont get to blow the whole wad at once. Typical mouth breather mentality. Maybe take some responsibility for YOUR actions.
