I was charged over $21.00, to withdraw $20.00. The CT VCOM atm does not give you the option to proceed unless you select "balance inquiry" then to withdraw money it asks if you agree with the $2.95 fee. Bank of america charged me to view my checking and savings balance which i already know how much i have in the bank. They are stealing millions from people. This can not be legal!!!

A couple of options for you...

1. Use a different ATM, one that doesn't require the balace check first.

2. Don't agree to the $2.95 fee and the ATM will cancel the transacytion at no charge allowing you to go to a different ATM.

3. Make a purchase, such as a grocery or clothing purchase and use the card as  debit card. You'll be given the option of extra cash back at no charge.
