This is yet another former IC for Banker's. They make it sound so rosy when they hire you and then it is totally mis-represented. I told them that I was entirely new to the insurance industry that I would need a little more training. After watching the 2 hour video and then listening to my trainer make a few calls, I was "thrown to the wolves" on the telephone. I was able to fill 4 of the 6 appointments for Tuesday and 7 of the 12 for the last 2 days, even though I stayed until well past the last rep went home. I had gone through the provided phone lists over 3 times and did not fill these appointments. Some of these appointments made were with existing customers which tells me that the list are not even new, or there are no filters on them.  My trainer, who by the way had his own appointments to keep on Wednesday so he could make a paycheck, chastised me for not filling up the calendar, I pleaded with the manager about the lack of training, but they kept saying that the products will be learned naturally. How can you sell a product that you don't know much about? I didn't give the manager the pleasure of a face to face resignation, but I did tell him that his training sucked and that if he wanted to open a new branch in an adjoining region he would have to change his training methods or he would continue to have the high churn of salespeople... or is that what is expected of the Banker's Life sales force. Even the 40 year veteran,of whom a family member is a customer, admitted that this is a big problem and that the branch manager would have a hard time realizing his dream of opening the new branch.
