bbb bait and switch, did nothing garden city nation wide

  century link sold me a plan, made me buy a new modem for said plan. Shipped modem but in day I was suppose to get upgraded service I received a call saying that I would not be getting the service that was sold to me until someone either quits their high speed service or century link upgrades their facilities. Classic bait and switch I then contacted BBB about said bait and switch, filed a complaint. I guess all you have to do to keep the BBB from doing anything is respond. BBB had an opportunity to penalize the company but instead choose to just keep my complaint open as long as century link is willing to respond. Century link does not deny the bait and switch, instead respond every time by saying they are sorry for the confusion. There was no confusion. Just a big company pulling an illegal move with no repercussions.
