BCTI Student wrote computer labs and got charged for it. Fife Washington

In regards to the Fife campus being closed without warning: This just goes to show what a second-rate curriculum they had. Theee wer countless typos in the lab books. As a class, we would regularly check with our instructors to verify the information. During the Networking Progress Period of Phase II, I wrote two of the labs for the class myself because the instructions in the book were proven to be severely flawed! I figured things out on my own time with my instructor's supervision. Afterwards, I authored two original network labs for the benefit of my fellow classmates, as well as future students. (I had hoped.)

To make matters worse, we had outdated books for the Hardware and operating systems class. When we started class, they were already outdated by two months. We fought tooth and nail to get the new textbooks, which were only given to us when we had finished those two progress periods--about two months of learning the wrong material! As a result of the efforts of our Networking instructor in helping us PROFESSIONALLY appeal to the management of BCTI for the new textbooks, she was summarily terminated at the end of our Networking Progress Period. The other Phase II instructors were too afraid to do or say anything, but silence didn't do them any good either. They were also "laid off" shortly thereafter.

I had also turned in a CD containing my final web design/HTML work before graduating, but will never be able to get it back. I was working three weeks prior to graduation, and I completed my requird work from home on my own computer. I had been to busy at the time to pick up my graded work, but now it is impossible. I had intended to start a business with the information I had pu into my final project that I had burned onto my own CD, which was not provided by the school! I have experienced a significant setback in my plans because of that. I'm not even sure where I can go to get help because the school where I was told I could go to brush up and audit classes indefinitely, is gone. The auditing rights after graduation is one of the reasons I decided to attend BCTI. Do I have to drive miles out of my way to audit classes now?
