My husband and I went to Beneficial looking for a way to consolidate are 1st mortgage with our 2nd so we could make one payment. Well now I am paying twice a month and not getting anywhere on the balance and paid $11,000.00 in interest last year for 9 months. We are now in an upside down mortgage and are having a hard time making it. When I called Beneficial to see what they could do for me they said there was nothing they could do and how did I get an additional line of credit.
We now have 3 loans with them and the manager told me we should not have had the loan for and extra $5000.00 that is attached to our house also. I told him I did not know how I got the extra loan - that was just what the loan officer did. Also in the loan papers the loan officer put in fradulent information about my husbands job history to make the loan go through.
I pay this company around $1300.00 dollars a month and none of the balances ever go down. I don't know what to do now - I am considering walking away and letting them have the house and deal with it. The sad part is we have had this house for 13 years. Any advice or help out there?

As an ex-employee of Beneficial I apologize to all of you that have been ripped off by this horrid company. I went to work for them thinking they were a legit business only to find out what lack of training, ill will, and lack of understanding they have for people. I was shocked none the less and I was let go because I couldn't morally sink to there level. I have moved on and have become very successful in my other ventures. I work for a credit union and unlike my previous job I am making an attempt everyday to help people in a positive manner. I have no words of advice for you except keep your head keep up with your payments and hopefully you will be able to find a financial that will be able to help you.
